As I was exploring Long Beach for a second home while I am on semi-retirement, I did my research on real estate agents to find one who had been in Long Beach, proper, for a while and also was knowledgable of Long Beach's famous gay scene. All were nice but for one reason or another I/we didn't get that "this is our home feeling". I recall looking at Zillow prior to leaving for work. Have been meaning to write this for a while as we've been in a new house for about 11 months now (which he also helped us buy!!) , but Erik Chavez from Victoria Street is an amazing realtor. He helped us sell our condo for more than we could have imagined in such a quick timeframe (while in escrow for buying our new house which can be super stressful). He is professional, responsible, knowledgeable and extremely trustworthy. He helped us sell our first property with ease and we would recommend him to anyone and everyone without hesitation.Our condo was located in Los Angeles and from the get go I knew we were in great hands. Within one weekend we had offers in the double digits and he was able to take us step by step through everything we needed to know about each one and what to consider (this was our first property we have ever sold). It was such a smooth experience throughout and he put in a ton of extra TLC that I feel anyone else would have not provided. Erik brings a ton of knowledge about appraisals, negotiation tactics, the price at which you should list and what you should expect, and a huge connection to other industry professionals that you have access to (like inspectors, pest people, etc) so you don't have to worry about finding those on your own or being taken advantage of price wise (and he pre-planned so much ahead so we were ready with anything the buyers might come at us with and also had the opportunity to fix anything in advance we wanted to or really should to make sure our condo sold for the most possible). Late to post this as we've been in our new, beautiful home for about 11 months now, but Erik Chavez from Victoria Street is an amazing realtor. Carly’s true dedication, responsiveness, and enthusiasm to educate on best practices for successful home buying was so essential to closing on a dream home. With the way the market was (high interest rates, quick and competitive buyers creating a sellers advantage, and low inventory) as first home buyers, the odds were totally stacked against us. About almost 2 years ago, we purchased an absolutely beautiful home with an amazing support from Carly & her team. We were a first time buyer, and we feel very fortunate that we were able to purchase our dream home in such a short time (we got the house with our first offer) with minimal stress thanks to Carly.We started the process about 20 month ago, when we met with a loan officer and came up with the plan to save down payment and prepare for loan process. At that time, we met with Carly. We were very impressed how she wanted to get to know us and our needs, and she offered to show houses then, even we knew we could not purchase the house for a while. Until January of this year, she would always send us email from time to time, asking how we were doing & needed any help. She was consistent, always on time, always available to show us properties, and allow us to take as much time as needed.Once we were pre-approved in end of January this year, we really started to serious looking, going to as many open houses as possible every weekends. It was exhausting process, but Carly was there for us to provide emotional support. Once we decided that we wanted to make an offer, she spent so much time with me finding out more information about what the seller was looking for and guided me to write a personal letter. She updated me very frequently, talking to her several time throughout the day. We got very lucky and our offer was accepted. I found out that there were other offers with higher amount, but we got it, and I believe it was partly due to Carly's expertise on how to make our offer best with things they can do (such as contingencies) and her guidance on writing personal letter. Escrow process was not stress free, but, again, she and her team was constantly updating me minimizing our worries. I was very happy with the home inspector she brought who did a very through job. As of March 26, escrow was closed and we got our key. Till this date, we can't believe that we were able to get this amazing dream house with our first ever offer, without long emotionally painful process of getting offers rejected and compromising what we want in our house, all the stories we hear about buying home.
